建具、畳が入り、いよいよ完成が近づいてきました。
茶室は現代で言うところの「バーチャル空間だ」と説明している方がいます。
擬似的に非日常空間を作り、室内に取り込む光量を巧みに調整し来訪者を異次元に誘う、言わば仕掛けを施された小さな箱です。
「箱」の中では亭主と客がハイコンテクストなやり取りを通じて互いのもてなしや気遣い、意図を汲んでいきます。
千利休の弟子、山上宗二が「一座建立」と言う言葉を残しています。
その場の環境とそこに集う人々が何かを通じて共に何かを成す。そこに相互に影響し合う化学反応の妙、趣き深さがあるのではないでしょうか。
