枡床席茶室左官工事
茶室の造営も終盤に差し掛かっています。
左官のKyleが渾身の壁を仕上げてくださっています。
いずれ壁の肌から貫の錆が浮かんでくるのが楽しみです😌
現代社会において時間の管理は必須条件であり、皆の共通言語のようです。
建設現場においてもそれは常識のようで、「工期」という言葉のもと厳格に守りたい、守らせたい、守ってもらいたいという力学が強く働いているように見受けられます。
言い訳をするようですが、職人の仕事のあり方が、とてもこの「工期」という考え方と馴染みが悪いのです。
独立当時、なんとか徹底した工期管理をと試みたのですが、お恥ずかしいながら、なかなか完遂できませんでした😔
今は想像の1.5倍、2倍の工期の提示、職種の特異性の説明、職人の不足等を念頭にお客さまに説明をするのですが、できることなら守りたいのが「工期」なのです。
Plastering work on the Masudoko tearoom
The construction of the tearoom is nearing the end.
Kyle, the plasterer, is putting his all into finishing the walls.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rust on the studs emerge from the surface of the walls.
In modern society, time management is a must, and it seems to be a common language for everyone.
It seems to be common sense on construction sites, too, and there seems to be a strong dynamic at work, with the word "construction period" being used to describe the desire to strictly adhere to it, to have others adhere to it, and to have others adhere to it.
It may seem like an excuse, but the way craftsmen work is not very compatible with the idea of "construction period".
When I first became independent, I tried to manage the construction period thoroughly, but I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't complete it.
Now, I explain to customers that the construction period is 1.5 or 2 times longer than expected, explaining the uniqueness of the type of work, and keeping in mind the shortage of craftsmen, but the "construction period" is what I want to adhere to if possible.
