墨に沿って刻み、鉋で木肌を仕上げる。
大工は扱う道具が多岐に渡るため、仕込みに要する時間とそれを自在に操れるようになるまでの修練に時間がかかるようです。
砥石と向き合い、材料と向き合い、人と向き合い、
その環境に自身をまるごと溶け込ませる行為をひたすら続けます。
「融通無碍」
異なるものと溶けてひとつになれてこそ自由であれる。
Cutting and Planing
Cutting along the lines of the ink, finishing the wood with a plane.
Because carpenters use a wide variety of tools, it takes time to prepare and adjust them to be able to use them freely.
Facing the sharpening stone, facing the material, facing the people,
they continue to fully incorporate themselves into the environment.
